25th Stop: Testing out motors and building second prototype

Besides the board, Jasveerpal and Goh also worked on our second prototype. And our teachers came back with new motors. So we were excited t test them out. Although the sun wasn't as bright as noon, but we still manage to text it, see whether its working or not. Then we went to the hostel's pond again to compare the speed..

24th Stop: Still with the board

Today we continued with our meeting. Afiqa and Tharvin continued working on the board to slot in more details with the most interesting ways yet still fulfill the theme's request, which is to use recycled items..

23rd Stop: Solar Boat-prototype

Although we're a little late compared to the other schools, but we still managed to build our first prototype to test is out today. At first we were having trouble with the wiring system, but thanks to Avinash who helped us out to figure out the different terminals. Then sticking all the parts with UHU glue wasn't easy also. So we decided to add some double-sided tape. We tested it at a mini pond in our school's hostel. It went well, our fear of it sinking did not happen, but there's sure some improvements we can make.

Fixing the motor

It didn't sink, which was pleasing!

22nd Stop: Busy, busy, busy

Theres meeting again today. Afiqa was busy completing our board. She was basically doing our schedule from March. All those activities held will be stated in the board. She used the egg carton to write the monthly schedule.. Besides the activities done, she also wrote down our plannings after this.

Writing has to be perfectly neat!

Time has passed so fast, September is just around the corner!

Egg carton can be useful too..

20th Stop: Solar Boat prep

Today we had a meeting, after all the exam stress, finally we can settle down and really get some work done for real! Continuing with the board job. The Solar panels are readily soldered and now we gotta get going with the styrofoams. We also discussed with our teachers, Encik Zul for presentation tips, Encik Sukri, in order to improve the blog, and also Puan Nik Nuraihan fpr board ideas. We have added a few details to our blog. For now, we have to step up our pace for the solar boat designs. Each of us are suppose to present or sketches tomorrow. Hopefully it'll turn out well!
